This is a great product. I bought one in September 2008 for my wife and a 2nd one in Oct.2008 for myself. Till now we have used them for 4 months without any prolem.
The netbook is powerful enough with 1.6GHz duo core ATOM processor. I could use Windows Live messenger, Skype, online video/movie, VMWare Virture Machine, MS Streets with GPS receiver, web surfing, MS Office, Norton Internet Security, External DVD Rom, 8GB SDHC card. I did NOT meet compatible problem till now.
It supports boot from external USB device but I have not found how to boot from SD crad in its SD card reader. From its bios, it seems that it does not support booting from internal SD card reader.
The netbook has little power consumption. It consumes only 16 Watt to 20 Watt while running. It is quiet and cool. Battery could last 4 hours continuosly. The netbook is so light that I could hold it in one hand and look at the screen for the video from my network attached camera D-Link DCS910/920 while using another hand to adjust the position and focus of the camera.
The boot time is short and shut down also quick. I could use it to remote desktop to my powerful desktop for remote control and monitoring. The screen is a little small for web surfing but you could use F11 key to hide menu and tool bars to give more space for web page. Touch pad is easy to use too.
The netbook has 1GB memory and could expand to 1.5G from feedback of other users. If it could expand to 4GB, it would be a killer to most of the low to medium end laptops.
I would highly recommend this product to you as a 2nd mobile portable device. If you already had a powerful desktop/laptop and seeking for a mobile device that is more powerful then PDA/SmartPhone, this is the device you should seriously consider.
