I travel every week by air, so I was looking for the smallest, lightest notebook available with windows XP. The Acer One fits the bill. I went from a bulky roller bag for my laptop (mobile office)to a over the shoulder bag that I can put anywere. The laptop worked fine out of the box. It took me a few days to transfer all my files and applications from my old laptop and work out the bugs. I had to buy an external cd rom drive to load some apps, other than that, no issues. When I;m home at my desk I use an external monitor, keyboard and mouse. The Acer has a limmited screen resolution, so I can only utilize 75% of my 20" monitor. The battery upgrade to 6 cell is well worth the few extra bucks.
