Pros:
-Excellent battery--5+ hours with the 6 cell.
-The screen is crisp and clear and doesn't reflect too strongly.
-Much faster than you'd expect. Outside of playing huge video files, any web browsing or Word processing you need to do will run as expected and only slightly slower than a Core Duo 2.
-The computer is light enough to take with you anywhere. I'm a student and I'm really glad I can throw this in my bag to work on campus without much shoulder or back stress.
-Stays cool, some of the new flash drive computers get hot on the lap but this only barely gets warm.
-Huge hard drive. You can put a pretty large photo and mp3 collection on here and never have to worry about cleaning files.
-wifi works great and easily picks up available signals all over campus.
-Very affordable!
Cons:
-The battery connection is a bit tenuous, I strongly recommend separating the battery from the computer when transporting it. The battery is very easy to take on and off though.
-This isn't really a con, as the computer meets its stated uses, but besides web browsing, email, music listening, and Word processing, this computer isn't useful for high octane programs or multiple processing tasks. Just a word of warning.
-The screen 'zoom' is pretty messed up and is constantly changing text sizes for no reason, but its pretty easy to fix quickly.
-The speakers are totally useless, I'd rather they had included only a headphone jack for external speaker hook-up and knocked a couple bucks off the price. Truly terrible feature that's easily the worst part of the computer. That said, with headphones the sound is fine.
-The computer comes bundled with some Microsoft products that are majorly intrusive.
-As most potential buyers will already know, there are no disk drives. This is fine these days because most information can be transported via the USB port, but it's a mystery how one will be able to install any programs without an external hard drive, which costs extra money and will rarely be needed.
In general, this computer is recommended for people who need to do email and Word processing on the run and want a light counterpart to their primary PC. I wouldn't recommend this as a desktop or laptop replacement. It's more of an affordable 'expendable' computer that's at least two steps above a blackberry or iPod for portable internet use.
