This small computer, which at this point is a bit bigger than our oldest home computer, works great. We use it for travel and accessing stuff of all kinds at different locations. I do not do much keyboard work on the machine because the keys are small and close together but the mouse works well for a pad if a bit sensitive. You have to have a light touch. I bought the gig of RAM so it loads quickly and processes stuff rapidly. We are taking it with us to India to backup our pictures, and videos and to communicate with our families. We have Skype loaded and have a skype name for it. We use it daily somewhere in the house by accessing our wi-fi. I found free wi-fi almost everywhere I traveled so getting on the internet is no problem. If you travel a lot or are going places with no computer, like Grandpa's house, this is the solution. It is light, works like a big dog, and fast. I have not loaded the MSOffice stuff but downloaded OpenOffice which works fine for what we need. The instructions to get going are a little sketchy so if you have not used a computer before you may want someone to work with you on start up and set up. The documentation is a .PDF file which irritates some people but the operational details are there if you want them. Overall, this is for communications. If you want to use it for serious computer work, buy a portable keyboard and mouse. There are plenty of ports, card readers etc. But for emails, and communications away from home base this is great.Get more detail about Acer Aspire One AOA150-1049 8.9-Inch Netbook (1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, XP Home, 6 Cell Battery) Black.
