Windows wouldn't boot right out of the box. I created a boot disk from my other Windows XP computer and tried to start the Aspire One from the USB drive, but that didn't work either.
Based on the reviews I've read here about Acer's customer service, I didn't even want to bother with tech support. So I packed it back up and returned it to Amazon. Amazon was excellent and quick to refund the full amount I paid for the defective product.
Since there are a lot of good reviews on this product, I think I (as well as several others here) just received a computer from a defective batch. I'm sure Acer makes some good products, just not this particular one.Get more detail about Acer Aspire One AOA150-1049 8.9-Inch Netbook (1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, XP Home, 6 Cell Battery) Black.
