I won this at my company's 2008 Christmas Party, so I have not staked any money or research into this thing. People at work have asked me if they should buy one for their little kids. I tell them no...
Let me first say that this laptop functions exactly as advertised, so there's no surprises to worry about. But the problem is... that it's more of a novelty, than a computer you can really use all the time. This should not be your family or kid's first computer. Get a cheap desktop instead.
The problem all comes down to the size. The keyboard, screen, touchpad, lack of CD ROM, etc. It is really hard to use the keyboard since it's so small. The touchpad is also really wierd. the left/right mouse buttons are on the left/right of the pad, and are hard to click down. The screen is small, and resolution limited. The only way this laptop would work, would maybe be if you plugged in an external mouse, keyboard, monitor, and media drive. lol. and if you're going to do that, what's the point?
I mainly leave this thing on top of my CRT monitor to watch hulu once in a while. I've taken it with me once or twice just to watch videos incase i get bored, but that's about it.
