I haven't had this very long, and I haven't pushed it very far, but the display is fine for these old eyes, and the keyboard is fine, too. The six-cell battery lasts a long time, but makes the thing a bit heavier. The touchpad is fine, as touchpads go. I'm not used to it yet, but it works when I use it. And it has XP instead of Vista!
The memory card stuff is nice. Long ago I bought a 20G MP3 player with a CF interface to download pictures on a trip. It didn't work well. This PC should do much better. It doesn't have a CF slot, but most cameras are SD now, anyway. You can also use USB or get a CF/USB adapter for $15.
I've been looking for a USB optical drive, but haven't decided on one yet. There are a lot available, but some don't work on some laptop's USB power. It would be nice to know if anyone has one that works well with this PC.
I've seen a version of this advertised as a kid's PC, but this is no toy. It would be a great traveling PC, perhaps a smidgen better if it had included WiFi N.
